Today's training was the ultimate bomb. I don't think I've been that happy paddling for such a long time :)K1 BABY
in yo face. Hahahah, so many people were jealous ;) And I got to sit in my wonderful love/heart/baby purple K1! Hahah, long time no paddle, buddy. Since like...sec 1?
Enough digressing.
Taking the K1 was sooo much fun, you wouldn't believe it. Even though I was
But the capsizing came later when I saw Jean beckoning me to go back to shore to take a T2 with her. Cos Art came and I had to pass her my loverly K1 ): Oh well. Back to the point.
In the midst of getting out of the boat, I kinda slipped and fell out of the boat. Of course, the splash was accompanied with quite an ear-piercing scream. :)
Switched to the OH-SO-HEAVY T2 with Jean and it was quite annoying having to lug the groaningly heavy boat for such a long distance ): (well it wasn't very long per say but....hehe)
I shall now list out the pros and cons of paddling in a T2:
Pros:
- You have a partner
- It's ridiculously heavy to carry
- It's hard to paddle straight when the wind is blowing
- It's annoying because you have to use so much more energy paddling as compared to paddling in a K boat
- YOU CAN'T CAPSIZE COS IT'S BLOODY EMBARASSING
So after struggling to paddle straight to the 500m mark which we unfortunately FAILED miserably in, we decided to sit at the pontoon when we reached!
Jeany Beany took out her right contact lens cos she said it kinda hurt...So she went blind in one eye! And we had quite a lot of fun...tearing apart the contacts, dumping it into the water, watching it float around....(:
Sat there for about 10 minutes, staring up into the sky, looking at the ACS boats finish their 10km time trial, waited for Jean's friend Victor Sek(sp?!) to come by so she could borrow his water bag, dancing on the pontoon, laughed at the ACS boats :) We had fun.
Pity we didn't have a camera though...It would've been really fun, taking pictures out there, camwhoring and all that but no! No camera! No more

So yeah, after stoning there, we decided to paddle pack to shore where we asked coach if we could take a K2 for just a leetle while. And very awesomely, coach agreed! *insertsashleyandjeanjumpingupanddown*
Unfortunately, we kinda capsized after I got into the boat cos....the seating adjustments weren't right. Heh.
So after all the emptying and blah, we started paddling. WOOHOO, and...
YOU GUESSED IT, WE CAPSIZED :)
On a brighter note, it wasn't in a T2 so it wasn't that bad :D
Loverly Joyce/Yunhui came over to rescue us. Kisses(K) Went back to shore, returned their boat, :( and went up to get water.
